The L word ist wirklich eine „heiße“ Serie. Die zweite Staffel steht der ersten zum Glück auch in nichts nach. Es ist eben doch manchmal ganz gut, Bekannte in den USA zu haben. Deutschland ist wahrscheinlich noch nicht soweit dafür – obwohl „Angels in America“ wird hier ja auch ausgestrahlt.

„Angels in America“ ist eine Miniserie. Dieses 5 1/2 Stunden Werk spielt in den 80ern und basiert auf dem zweiteiligen Theaterstück von Tony Kushner "Angels in America"
Also simpel zusammengefasst geht es um Schwule/Aidskranke/Juden/Süchtige und Rassismus in America der Reagan-Ära, um Philosophie und um Engel, die den Aidskranken erscheinen. Die meisten Schauspieler spielen jeweils mehrere Rollen, außer Al Pacino, der nur einen skrupellosen Staranwalt (aidskrank, schwul, aber dieses hartnäckig bestreitend) spielt, der von einem Geist seiner Vergangenheit heimgesucht wird. Beim Original muss man aber schon häufiger zum Wörterbuch greifen. ARD will diese Serie im Sommer 2005 ausstrahlen… Man glaubt im heutigen Zeitalter gar nicht, dass solche Produktionen immer noch so lange brauchen, bis sie nutzerfreundlich in Old Germany ankommen. Aber ich will mich natürlich nicht zu den ewig meckernden immer beschwerenden Deutschen zählen.

Naja Angels of America scheint dann aber was total anderes zu sein, als The L Word... Ich find, dass kannst du net so vergleichen.
Mal schauen ob ichs irgendwann mal seh.

Natürlich ist inhaltlich gesehen „angels in america“ etwas vollkommen anderes. Das sollte jetzt auch kein Vergleich sein. Mir ging es jetzt eher um die Überlegung, ob „The L word“ jemals hier in Deutschland ausgestrahlt wird.
Amerikanische Serien sind hier ja nur langsam im kommen. „Queer as folk“ z.B. wird hier sicherlich auch niemals anlaufen. Aber da „angels in america“ den Weg hierher gefunden hat – schafft es vielleicht auch „The L word“
